Buffalo Creek Campsites

Our secluded Buffalo Creek campsites are a stone's throw from the Little Okefenokee Swamp. Nestled in the midst of a private 57-acre native live oak forest, you'll find yourself quite happily in the middle of nowhere. Out here, nature sings you to sleep. You'll awaken to a place and time found nowhere else in the world.

Buffalo Creek Campsites are on the gated grounds of Newell Lodge and Resort at the Okefenokee Swamp.

Our sites are available by reservation only. Individual and family visitor reservations may be made on Hipcamp.

When you arrive, you're free to choose the perfect spot to set up camp. Check-in is prior to 6 p.m. We offer 30 & 50 amp electrical service and accessible dump stations. Four full bathrooms are available for guest use. Pets are welcome, but should remain on leash as you explore

Ticketed or Special Camping Events

Professional event planners who book acts for shows in The Pavilion may consider the option of including RV sites in their ticket prices. Event promoters or organizers are responsible for booking directly with the Lodge. To cover expenses associated with large numbers of campers, promoters should budget $50/night for a 30-amp site, $60/night for 50-amp. We limit the number of ticketed or special camping events to 2 per year in order to protect the integrity of the forested land.

For family reunions or corporate retreats, we suggest reserving the eight RV or tent-friendly sites tucked between two of our cottages. If you’ve got folks coming from far and near, this situation is exactly right for corralling the lively ones in the bunch. Ask about this special "bookend" option when you reserve the cottages for your stay.
